Post 4: KFC Rebrand

The first Logo was made in 1952 when the fast food resteraunt was opened by Colonel Harland Sanders. Sanders died in 1980 but his face remained part of the logo. Replaced in 1978 with a similar logo of the Colonel smiling for better sales. In 1991 it changed again to a more appealing logo with red stripes. In 1997 it changed to a bigger picture of the Colonel wearing a white suite. In 2010 it changed to a logo including the Colonel with an apron on. While through the changes of the logo the Colonel and the Red colour remained to make KFC a well known logo. KFC to make the logo bigger so in 1978 they added chunkier, bold and bigger writing. In 1991 colour was added to make the logo stand out more. After the Colonel died the name Kentucky Fried Chicken was changed to KFC in attempts to make the company to look healthier. the colonel and the colour red became the face of KFC. before 1997 a bigger picture of the colonel was displayed with his white suite. The Colonel was never seen in public without his suit and this was a representation of his life. later after 2006 the Colonel was shown in an apron to remind the public of his culinary skills. Personally I prefer the before 1997 logo. It was a much more accurate representation of the colonel and I think the white, red and blue works better than the black, white and red.
